MLS Summer School 2018 Mexican Week (Elementary Schooler)
[Day 1: Papel picado] Today we started the Mexican Week. Today we made Mexican decorative craft, l papel picado”. We used many colors of tissue paper. We used the template to make the designs and cut some banners at the same time. It was fun!
今日からメキシカンウィークが始まりました。小学生は午後、メキシコの伝統切り絵細工のパペルピカドを作りました。ちりめん紙に型を取った後、模様がきれいに出るように丁寧に切りました。カラフルなパペルピカド、メキシコのきれいな青空の下にかざりたいね！
Para la actividad de hoy hicimos papel picado. Está semana será mexicana. Fue fácil y rápido con la ayuda de una plantilla de papel picado. Utilizamos diferentes hojas de colores. Estuvo divertido!
[Day 2: Guitar out of cardboard]
For today's activity, we made a guitar out of cardboard. We painted our guitar with the colors of the rainbow. We had fun painting. Our teacher helped us to tie up the rubber bands, it was a little bit hard. But our guitar is beautiful.
今日はダンボールを使って、ギターを作りました。まずは、ギターの形をかたどってダンボールを切り取ります。次は色つけです。ギターの色を何色にする？と先生に聞かれると「Rainbow!」と自分たちで決めたようです。ギターの弦を張るのは難しいので、先生に手伝ってもらいました。明日の感性が楽しみだね。
Para la actividad de hoy hicimos una guitarra de cartón. Pintamos nuestra guitarra con los colores del arcoíris. Nos divertimos pintando. Nuestra maestra nos ayudó a atar las bandas elásticas porque era un poco difícil. Pero nuestra guitarra quedó hermosa.
[Day 3: Piñata]
For today's activity we made a piñata. We used a balloon as a base and we pasted newspaper around it, it was a little bit messy but fun. Finally we used many colors of tissue paper to decorate our piñata, It was beautiful.
今日はピニャータを作りました。膨らませた風船に新聞を貼り、その上に切り目を入れたカラフルなちりめん紙を重ねて行きました。ピニャータ作りには、伝統的な方法にならって、糊やボンドではなく、小麦粉を水に溶かした糊を使いました。一晩乾かして明日仕上げを行います。完成が楽しみだね。
Para la actividad de hoy hicimos una piñata. Utilizamos un globo como base y pegamos periódico alrededor, fue un poco lioso pero divertido. Finalmente utilizamos papel china de diferentes colores para decorar nuestra piñata. Está hermosa.
[Mexican Week, Day 4: Kicked Can]
For today's activity, we played kicked can. We used an empty water bottle, one of our friends kicked the bottle and we had to hide all around the yard, this game is similar to hide and seek. We had fun.
小学生は缶蹴りをして遊びました。広い庭には隠れるところがいっぱい！先生も一緒になってたくさん走りました。
Para la actividad de hoy jugamos al bote pateado. Utilizamos una botella de agua vacía. Uno de nuestros amigos pateaba la botella mientras que nosotros nos escondíamos en el jardín. Este juego es similar a las escondidas. Nos divertimos mucho.
[Day 5: Tres Leches cup cake] For today's activity we made tres leches cupcakes. First, we learned the name of the ingredients. Then we started making the mix for the cupcakes, we enjoyed putting the mix in the cupcake mold the most. We couldn’t wait when we put them in the oven. Yummy!
今日はミルクカップケーキを作りました。材料の名前を英語で確認しながら、かき混ぜます。型に流し込むときには真剣な表情！オーブンで焼いている間は待ちきれなくてずっとオーブンをのぞいていました。おいしくできたね！
Para la actividad de hoy hicimos cupcakes de tres leches. Aprendimos los nombres de los ingredientes que utilizamos mezcla para pastel, huevos, leche, aceite vegetal y vainilla. Comenzamos a hacer la mezcla para los cupcakes, disfrutamos poner la mezcla en el molde. Después los pusimos en el horno. Después de eso hicimos la mezcla de tres leches utilizamos leche condensada, leche evaporada, media crema y vainilla. Cuando los cupcakes estaban listos pusimos la mezcla de tres leches y encima crema Chantilly. Estaban deliciosos.
